Professionally, John Tatgenhorst has quite a full hat-rack: Composer, Songwriter, Arranger, Music and Record Producer, Author, Consultant, Publisher and Business Executive. In addition to his prolific output for feature films, television scoring, music publishing and recording, John always makes time to do presentations on commercial music for Grammy Sound table events and university seminars for music students.
A child prodigy who studied music from age five and wrote for instrumental and vocal ensembles in high school, John has now more than 600 published works and three text books on music in print - in addition to his prolific output for radio and television commercials, feature films, and custom music for corporations and record labels. A partial list of his clients include: Microsoft, S. G Johnson, United Airlines, Sears, Proctor and Gamble, McDonald's, AT&T, Pepsi-Cola, Wal-Mart, Kraft and Hyatt Hotels.
John serves on the board of Governors of the Grammys in Chicago and lectures at universities in Chicago and Los Angeles. As an orchestral arranger, her has worked for John Williams and Erich Kunzel.
